Keep the Faith; And your Distance too!

We are in the midst of a very nasty, insidious virus. We haven’t seen anything like this in our lifetimes.

As a society, we are learning new lessons every day, keeping our distance, washing our hands, wearing a mask.

I’ve heard some say that we are in the midst of a New World Order. That “ God “ is angry with us and is “ punishing us “ for being such insufferable and arrogant people.

My personal belief is that God is not punishing us at all. We are our own worst enemy.

If we all lived according to God’s wishes, there would be no wars, no murders, no anger, no selfishness or cruelty.

But, there would still be natural disasters, accidents and yes…. viruses.

How can God allow these things?

We will never know the answers to theses questions-but one thing I do know is that God gave us free will.

If we choose to act like idiots, God won’t stop us.

If we want to be cruel, selfish or angry, so be it.

God won’t interfere. But He won’t be happy, either.

But the devil will be!
The devil would love nothing more than to have us go against God’s will.

The devil, I believe, is responsible for a lot of misery that happens in this world.

Did the devil cause the Corona virus?

We’ll never know. I assume it’s possible.

The devil’s job is to cause humans misery, chaos, confusion, and his ultimate goal is to destroy us.

So, if the devil did cause it, it surely fits his M.O.

What is the best way to fight the devil? That’s easy.

Every act of kindness, love, generosity and forgiveness brings you closer to God.
And farther from the devil.

Every act of cruelty, jealously, anger, selfishness, lack of compassion, hatred, envy- brings us closer to the devil,

And farther from God.

It’s up to us to choose which one we want to be closer to.

During these difficult and trying times, I believe it would serve us well to act in a way that pleases God.

I wish everyone safety and freedom from this virus.

I wish we will all meet in Heaven someday.

I’m working on getting there……

Are you with me?

God Bless,

Tony Spera
